Design, number of pages, the admin panel and yearly costs decide what a website costs. We break down each item and work through a real price list.
"How much does a website cost?" has no single answer. The price depends on how many sections the site has, whether the design is ready-made or custom, whether you get an admin panel and what you pay every year after launch. This guide explains each cost driver and then walks through a concrete example using our own section-based price list. To choose your sections and see the total right away, use our website prices page.
Six Things That Decide the Price
1. Design approach: ready-made or custom
Sites built from tested, ready-made sections are delivered quickly and keep the budget under control. A custom design gives you a look that is unique to your brand, but design rounds, revisions and coding time raise the price noticeably. We compare both in template website vs custom development.
2. Number of pages and sections
A one-page introduction site and a site with services, a blog, a gallery and a contact page are not the same amount of work. Every extra section means more design, more content fields and more testing.
3. An admin panel (CMS)
To update texts, images and blog posts yourself you need an admin panel. Without one, you pay a developer for every small change, which over time can cost more than you saved at launch.
4. Custom features and integrations
Online payments, memberships, bookings, multiple languages or a connection to accounting and CRM tools all need extra development time. For these, the price is set by a quote once the scope is clear.
5. Content: copy, images and translations
Copywriting, professional photos and translations are usually not included. When you ask for a quote, check who prepares the content and who enters it into the site.
6. Domain, hosting and SSL
The domain name (for example yourcompany.com) and hosting are renewed every year. Many providers now include an SSL certificate at no extra cost; either way, make sure your site opens over https.
Set-up Fee and Yearly Costs
Think of your budget in two parts:
- One-off set-up: design, coding, preparing the admin panel and going live.
- Yearly costs: domain and hosting renewal, security updates, backups and technical support.
A low set-up price combined with high or unclear yearly fees is not as cheap as it looks. When you compare offers, add up the first year and the years after it.
A Transparent Example: Pricing by Section
With our Quick Website package, the price is set by the sections you want on your site. Current list prices:
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Base package (every site has a menu and a footer) | ₺2,100 |
| Hero: the large visual area at the top of the home page (optional) | ₺500 |
| Services: a services section and page | ₺1,500 |
| Blog: posts and announcements | ₺1,500 |
| Gallery: project and product images | ₺500 |
| Contact: form and contact details | ₺1,000 |
| Domain: if you have no domain or no access to its panel | ₺700 |
For example, a business that only needs an introduction and a contact area pays ₺3,600 for the base package, hero and contact. Add services and a gallery to show what you do and the total becomes ₺5,600. You can find the sections and designs we suggest by sector on our restaurant, hair and beauty salon and dental clinic pages.
The payment plan is just as clear:
- A 40% deposit of the total is taken when the project starts.
- You see your site on our test server within 48 hours of the order being confirmed.
- You get 7 days to enter your content; once it is done, the balance is paid and the site goes live.
- The site stays live for the first year; from the second year the yearly renewal fee is ₺3,000 if the domain was bought through us (domain renewal included), or ₺2,000 with your own domain (may be adjusted for inflation).
Extra requests you write in the "Things You’d Like to Add" box can change the price and the delivery time; if they do, you are told clearly before any work starts.
What to Check in a Budget Offer
A good price is great as long as you know what is included. Before you accept an offer, get written answers to these questions:
- Is there an admin panel, and which parts can I update myself?
- Is the site mobile-friendly and served over SSL?
- Whose name is the domain registered in, and who renews it?
- How much will I pay from the second year on?
- Who enters the content, and how many revisions are included?
- Are the source code, database and server access part of the package?
You will find the full list in our checklist for hiring a web designer.
Which Budget Fits Which Business
For tradespeople, freelancers and small businesses, a site built from ready-made sections with an admin panel is usually enough: it goes live quickly, stays within budget and keeps the content in your hands. We collected our advice for them in websites for small businesses.
If you need online payments, memberships, bookings or integration with internal systems, a custom website with an admin panel is the better investment.
Conclusion
A website's price is the sum of the design approach, the number of sections, the admin panel and the yearly costs. When you compare offers, look beyond the set-up fee at what is included and what the following years cost. To see the price of your own site, switch sections on and off on the Quick Website page; the total updates instantly.
